Another week has gone and it is time for our weekly snow report! It is difficult for us to say which was the best and the busiest weekend during this winter season. How we can determine the past one – it was absolutely one of those. One thing is for sure – perfect skiing conditions, fresh snow, groomed slopes, sunny weather, and low temperatures! Lots of people didn’t miss the opportunity and overwhelmed the resorts. There are not many winter days left, but the forecast predicts that the skiing conditions will remain great till the very end of the season.

Lifts & Slopes
This week all the trails remain open except the Fonfon run. The Markudjik #3 run is still closed because of the extremely high avalanche danger. Borokids park is not functioning yet. The Musala pathway is partially open, due to the low snow cover in the second part. All the lifts are working except the lift to Markudjik #3 and the surface lift “Iglika”. As usual no waiting time during the week. On Saturday the wait was quite long – for the gondola lift was around an hour and more, for the other lifts 5-10 minutes.

Snow Cover & Forecast
Thanks to the heavy snowfall and the low temperatures, the snow cover stays at a great level. At the lower part of the resort, the cover is around 140 cm and the Markudjik Ski center is 250 cm. As the temperatures are going up now, the avalanche risk becomes very serious. Please, pay attention and be really careful – the avalanche warning in the area of Musala Cirque beyond Markudjik 3 Ski Run, outside ski zone Borovets remains very high. The forecast for the next week doesn’t predict any serious snowfall. At the begging of the week, the morning temperatures will be below zero, and the daily – 2-3 degrees above it.
