Once people have said – the best is yet to come! And it will be very appropriate to say that at this moment, as approaching the end of March. Along with the fresh powder we had this week, at least 17 cm, the current forecast predicts another snowfall, so it’s just a pleasure to present you with our weekly snow report. Frequently, our team strives to keep you updated with a snow report per week. So let’s see further what are the conditions and the forecast at the resort for the upcoming week.

Lifts & Slopes
At the beginning of the week, due to the quite strong winds, not all the lifts and slopes were operating. However, after Thursday, the wind settled and snowfall started! During the weekend the conditions became better. As for the trails, on Saturday the second part of Sitnyakovo #2, Cherveno zname and Fonfon wasn’t operating. On Sunday just the second part of Fonfon was closed. Completely closed runs remain Markudjik #3 and Borokids park. From the lifts – the Surface lift Iglika and Surface lift Markudjik #3 are not open. Some good news – Musala pathway is now functioning! The slopes are covered with fresh powder from the last snowfall. Night skiing remains as well a great idea, especially for the people that prefer the groomed pistes and less fog. Almost no waiting time at the lifts, around 5 – 10 minutes.

Snow Cover & Forecast
The snow cover at this point remains at an excellent level. At the lower part of the resort, the cover is around 140 cm. Аt the Markudjik Ski center, around 250 cm! Please, pay attention that after the recent snowfalls, the avalanche warning in the area of Musala Cirque beyond Markudjik 3 Ski Run, outside ski zone Borovets remains very high. The forecast for the next week predicts snowfalls until Wednesday and after that some sunny, but cold days. As it looks like, by the end of March, the winter sports lovers will be really happy. Till the end of the season, there are three more weeks to go, so let’s get the most of it and conquer the soft snow runs!
