Another sunny weekend here in Borovets with perfect conditions for skiing.  All three ski centers are up and running, as well as the Musalenska pathway. This gives an easy transfer from the Markudjik ski center to Sitnyakovo.

Yastrebets

The top of the Popangelov ski run.

There hasn’t been much snow over the last week, but thanks to the early snowfalls the pistes are in good conditions. Only the Markudjik ski center has some rocks and grass patches on the slopes. We advise caution when skiing there. The black Markudjik 2a ski run hasn’t been groomed and is pretty much a moguls course. Which is suiting, considering it’s a black run, lot’s of fun for the advanced skiers.

If you’re looking for perfect slopes, then the Yastrebets and Sitnyakovo ski centers should be your first stop. During the weekends many locals go skiing and lift lines can be much bigger than during the weekdays, especially on sunny days like today. Most skiers go directly towards Yastrebets or the Markudjik ski center. So if you want smaller lines, the Sitnyakovo ski center is the best choice. This year the slope conditions are identical in both ski areas and offer perfect conditions.

Sitnyakovo

The Musalenska Pathway is open and connects the bottom of the Markudjik 2 lift with the Sitnyakovo ski center. It is a relatively flat slope that takes about 15 minutes to ski down with a fast pace. It save a lot of time if you want to get back to main part of the resort. The snowpark is also up and running with perfectly groomed features. It’s located right next to the Iglika surface lift. The borokids park is also open for children.

Lift lines were smallest at the Markudjik ski center, followed by Sitnyakovo. There was a decent lift line at the middle station of the gondola, as well as the base station in the afternoon.
