Let’s welcome the first snow report of February! With a snow report each week, we strive to provide you with the latest information in the resort. Last weekend was quite busy in comparison to the previous ones. The weather has been something between sunny, windy, and rainy. Although, the conditions were good for skiing. As usual, during the weekend many Bulgarians visit the resort. Also, the resort has been visited by many foreigners from our neighboring countries. This resulted in a 30-minute wait in the queue for the lifts, but it was mainly in the morning hours.

Lifts & Slopes
Today, all of the slopes in the resort are open, except for the black ski run of Cherveno zname and the red run of Markudjik #3. The Yastrebets runs are a bit icy and uneven. The Musala Pathway is finally open and many skiers are skiing it down. All of the lifts are operating. As we’ve shared with you in the beginning, during the weekend the waiting time in the morning was around half an hour. Although, during weekdays it is no more than 5-10 minutes.
Snow Cover & Forecast
On Saturday fresh snow of 10 cm covered the mountain. Then, yesterday’s snowfall brought 6 more cm. The next significant snowfall is forecasted for next week. The snow cover in the highest areas is 160 cm and in the lowest around 95 cm. Today’s temperature during midday was around -3 degrees in the area of Markudjik ski center and around +6 degrees in the resort.

Night Skiing
As of last week, the schedule of the night skiing has been changed. Now, it starts at 6:30 and operates until 10:00 pm. The ski center closes at 10:30 pm. The change is due to safety reasons. The night skiing attracts many skiers and the queues can get a bit long, especially during weekends. The waiting time was around 30 minutes as during the day.
The queue for the night skiing was rather long, but the maximum waiting time was no more than 30 minutes.
