Another incredible week on the slopes, which must be described in a snow report! As usual, our team strives to keep you updated with a snow report per week. With plenty of snow and well-groomed slopes, it was a privilege to be in the mountains these days. This weekend the weather in the region was mainly rainy and foggy. However, the conditions in the mountains were on the contrary side – sunny and excellent for skiing!
Snow Cover & Forecast
This morning there was a light snowfall, which was around 5 cm. Even if it’s not significant, we always highly appreciate it. Especially, when we get to see powder on the slopes early in the morning. As of today, the snow cover on the top of the mountain around the area of Markudjik is around 190 cm and around 130 cm at the lower parts of the mountain. No significant snowfall is predicted in the next few days. Yet, the weather will be cold with no rain, so keeping our fingers crossed the snow cover won’t change.
Lifts & Slopes
Because of the calm weather during the past week, all of the lifts were operating today as well. The slopes were opened for the enthusiasts, except for the Musala Pathway. The black runs of Cherveno zname, Fonfon, and Markudjik #2A were open for skiers but weren’t groomed. As a result of the busyness during the weekend, the corduroy was being plowed up faster. Even though the resort was a bit crowded, the waiting time for the lifts was no more than 15-20 minutes.
