“Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!” This chorus is popping up in your head when the blissful snow starts falling from the sky. In the last two days, the slopes got covered with more than 25 cm fresh snow blanket. What can be said in addition to that – the fact that we will have such good conditions until the very end of the season – just incredible! As usual, our weekly snow report is here to present you with the current skiing situation in the resort.
Slopes & Lifts
During the weekend all the lifts were operating, excluding two of them – surface lift Iglika and Rotata. Today the surface lift Markudjik #3 is also closed, due to the recent snowfall and the raised risk of avalanches. As for the slopes, Markudjik #3 run respectively is not open as well. Yesterday, because of the quite foggy weather more ski runs were closed – Sitnyakovo #2, Sitnyakovo ski way, Cherveno zname, the lower part of Yastrebets #1, and Musala pathway. The Fonfon run was not groomed. Sitnyakono #1 remained partially opened. Today, as the weather cleared, all other pistes are open, just not all of them were groomed. Fun Park Borovets is closed.
Snow cover & Forecast
The snow cover remains more than good. At Markudjik ski center the snow level is still around 220 cm. Everything is covered with fresh powder. The forecast for the upcoming days predicts that the temperatures will remain low until the end of the week. Until Thursday other snowfalls are expected. After that, we will have a lot more sunny hours which means that spending some time in the mountains during the weekend would be more than a great idea.
