An awesome week on the slopes with just perfect conditions this Saturday! Great weather, groоmed slopes, sun, and fresh air. Our weekly snow report as promised is here! April occurred to be more than generous for the Bulgarian winter resorts. The temperatures in the mountain remain below zero, there was another snowfall during the past week and the weekend is just gorgeous with sunshine and no wind! Very enjoyable times, that shouldn’t be missed as the end of the season is very close.
Slopes & Lifts
All the lifts remain open and like the previous week, the surface lift “Iglika” and “Rotata” are closed. Most of the slopes are functioning, and even the Musala pathway which is something that never happened before! The closed pistes are Sitnyakovo royal residence ski way, Sitnyakovo #2, and Yastrebets 1 lower part from mid-station. Sitnyakovo #1 is partially open. The black slopes Fonfon and Cherveno zname are open for skiers but not groomed. The snow is very good, especially after the last 24-hour snowfall we had in the middle of the week.

Snow cover & Forecast
The winter just doesn’t want to leave and again the forecast for the next week predicts morning temperatures below zero and in the afternoon, not more than 7-8 degrees. The forecast predicts the possibility of snowfall on Wednesday and/or Thursday. The snow cover hasn’t changed. The snow depth at the lower part is still 110 cm and at the highest – 220 cm. As it looks like, the snow will be in top condition even until the end of the month. Please, pay attention that with the new snow, the avalanche danger beyond Markudjik 3 Ski Run, outside ski zone Borovets is still very high. There is one more week ahead, and the conditions have never been so good in April. Don’t hesitate – go skiing!
