Borovets’ new 2023/24 winter season is on and we are back with our weekly snow reports!
Read on to find out just how snowy it was for the opening and the days after the official start.
With so much snow this year’s season start is really one of the best season openings we have ever had in Borovets!
With great snow conditions and literally all slopes and lifts open, Borovets hadn’t had such a kick-start beginning of the season since a very long time.
Snow and Slopes
It’s been some amazing 5 days so far on the ski pistes in Borovets Winter Resort. With great snowfall on the opening date (15.12.23) and more on the following days, Borovets began the new winter season with almost all of its slopes being opened and groomed. There was also fresh powder on some of the tracks, which made the experience of the new season start even more delightful. Those of you who love powder days would understand completely.
As of 19/12/2023 (Tuesday) all slopes, except for Markudjik 3, Fun Park Borovets and Borokids park, are fully open. All lifts (except drag lift Markudjik 3) are also fully working.
Snow is still in very good condition – very firm and stable throughout the whole day, despite the warmer temperatures over the past two days. It is stiffer in the mornings, however without any ice.
As far as queuing is concerned, there were a few bigger lines during the weekend, but as of right now there are no crowds on any of the lift stations. If we could sum it up in one sentence – there is plenty of snow and almost no people on the slopes in Borovets right now. Sounds lovely, doesn’t it?!
Weather Forecast
The warmer and sunny weather will remain for the next couple of days. Some rain in the lower areas but with snow in the higher parts of the resort are expected on Friday (22.12) and Saturday (23.12) which gives us hope that resort management will be able to hold the conditions and have all slopes open for the Christmas holidays as well.
