This year Borovets will host the second Red Bull Fragments competition on the 30th and 31st of January 2016! A unique snowboard competition that brings all of the elements from street riding to the mountain in a JAM session format. Come and watch the best Bulgarian snowboarders battle it out with invited riders from all over Europe.
The course itself represents a mixture rails, tables, wall rides and other urban features. A true street setup. The event will take place over the course of the weekend and Saturday will be a day for training followed by qualifications for the finals, that will be on Sunday. Last years judges Marco Grilc and Iztok Sumatic are back again, this time accompanied by Kareem El Rafie. The prize pool that everyone will be going for is 3500 EUR plus a “money-can’t-buy experience”, as the event organizers call it.
If you feel like you’ve got a chance, registration is open to anybody and is free of charge! You can view the event in FACEBOOK also. If your in Borovets during the event, you should definitely take some time off from riding to come and get stoked with the riders and spectators.
