New rental equipment for 2017/18

The new ski season is almost upon us and we at Ski & Board Traventuria are busy setting up all of the new equipment we’ve received over the off-season. For winter 2017/18, you can look forward to skiing the latest offerings from Rossignol, Fischer, Head, Atomic, Nordica, Elan and more as part of our PREMIUM package ski lineup. We’ve upgraded over a third of our inventory, including many new sets of children’s skis. Snowboarders rejoice, as we also have many new boards from K2 and Burton and new BOA boots.

Ski & Board Traventuria doubles in size for 2017/18!

Premium Ski Line

When booking with us online through our website, you can choose between a Basic and Premium ski package (read more about the differences between basic and premium). Selecting the premium option gives you access to better and newer equipment than the Basic package and the option to upgrade your skis/board to TOP or VIP models. The Premium Line is best suited for beginners, levels 1-3. In this category, you can find skis from Elan, Head, Fischer and other brands. This lineup consists mostly of last year’s new TOP skis and nothing used more than 1 season.

The Rossignol Zenith model is a great ski for beginners and intermediates.

TOP Ski Line

If you choose the TOP Equipment supplement while booking, you’ll have access to brand new 2017/18 models such as the following: Elan Explore 76/72; Explore X; Head The Link (Pro); Blizzard Race RTX; Atomic PERFORMER XT FIBRE EZY²; Fischer XTR Pro Mtn X; Rossignol ZENITH SX; Salomon XDR FOCUS and other models. All of these skis still have the plastic wrapping on them, until their first rental and afterwards are fully serviced after each rental. We have TOP skis suitable for beginners to advanced skiers, levels 1-6. If you don’t know what exactly you need, fear not as our trained staff will select the best skis for your riding level and the current snow conditions. The most prevalent characteristic of this ski line is that they are forgiving, yet consistent skis, perfect for beginners, but won’t slow down a more advanced skier.

VIP Ski Line

Our VIP skis are waiting for you!

Our VIP skis are waiting for you!

In our VIP line of skis, you’ll find the best our shop has to offer. Brand new for the season, we have stocked top-of-the-line models: Rossignol Hero Elite; Fischer RC4 Curv and Atomic Redster MX skis, all brand new. These skis are best suited for advanced to expert skiers, levels 4-9. We also have new 2016/17 HEAD Supershape skis, which are waiting to be unwrapped. We also offer last year’s VIP models, most of which have only been ridden a few times, such as the Head iGSX model. Another great feature of the VIP line is the ability to change skis daily, so if the skis you got don’t suit your riding style or the snow conditions are changing, just switch out for something else. This is especially useful if there is a powder day, as you can switch the race skis for a pair of fat powder-worthy twin tips. We don’t suggest this line for people who have never been skiing before, as the VIP skis are race and powder skis (not rental models) and aren’t as suitable for beginners as the skis in our TOP lineup.

Ski and Snowboard Boots

Just like every year, we’ve replaced a big part of our boots with brand new ones. And because the fit is different from model to model and brand to brand, we’ve stocked up on various offerings from Head, Fischer, Dalbello, Rossignol, Nordica and Tecnica. A new model in our shop is the Atomic Magna Hawk boots and we’ll have new Salomon boots for sale only.

The BOA system, which replaces normal shoe laces offers a much better fit.

New ski boots for 2017/18

In the snowboard department we are adopting the BOA lacing system and almost all boots will have this feature. The BOA system replaces the normal shoe laces of old with a simple metal wiring system and knob. All you have to do is spin the knob to tighten your boots and release it to get them off. Our new boots are from HEAD and Salomon and we have a bigger quantity of small sizes, as opposed to previous years.

For 2017/18 we’ve gotten new boards from K2 and Burton, two of the leading brands in snowsports. We have even more smaller boards for youngsters and shorter women, so finding the best for you shouldn’t be a problem.

Cross-Country Skiing

Completely new for this season, we are offering cross-country skis. The skis and shoes are made by Fischer and are all brand new. Borovets is the only Bulgarian resort with a cross-country track that doesn’t require a ski lift, so this could be a great alternative if you’re not into alpine skiing, but still find yourself in Borovets.
