Borovets officially gave start to the new skiing season on December 18th. With loads of snow, and almost the entire ski area and slopes opened, the beginning of the season in the oldest Bulgarian resort surely looked promising.
Luckily for skiers, snowfalls started early in Bulgaria this year in mid of November which helped Borovets start the season early with almost completely functioning resort. For the opening weekend, all major slopes of the resort such as Yastrebets 1, 2 & 3, Markudjik 1&2 and Martinovi Baraki, were opened and perfectly groomed.
Night skiing was also officially opened this same weekend and skiers from all over the world were able to enjoy it from 6:30 to 10PM.
