It’s not even December yet and we already have 50+ cm of fresh snow on the mountain. In addition to the snow cannons working constantly, it looks like Borovets will be in superb shape for their official season opening, which is on the 17th of December. But even better news is that the ski zone will also be working during Bulgaria’s student holiday from the 8th to 11th of December.

For the official season opening Borovets has a few surprises in store. Other than the expected musical appearances by Bulgarian artists and DJs, Borovets will be giving away 120 season passes to celebrate their 120th birthday. Prices for ski passes will be 5lv on the 17th and the night skiing will be free for the same day.

Just looking at the web cameras makes us want to pull out our ski attire.

Ski Traventuria

The snow fell so early this season, that we didn’t have time to switch our vinyls.

Stay tuned to our Facebook page and blog for snow reports throughout the season.
